Yamburg Dolomite
Yamburg Dolomite
Dolomite "Yamburg" is one of the most famous natural stones, traditionally used in the Baltic States and North-West Russia for the construction of houses, cladding facades and interior decoration.
The first structures of this stone date from the XII century. Ancient fortresses-cities: Staraya Ladoga, Orekhov, Ivangorod and many others are built of this stone. Given all that they experienced, they are perfectly preserved to this day.
The cities of the Baltic states, the first buildings of St. Petersburg and the subsequent "mass" building up to the 20th century, were conducted with the obligatory use of
this stone.
Currently, Yamburg dolomite is used in large quantities for restoration, restoration of old buildings, as well as for construction and
finishing new. Very popular for facing socles and facades of country houses.
Dolomite "Yamburg" refers to the Volkhov horizon. Stone mining is carried out industrially at a depth of more than 5 m. It is there that the strong and dense high-quality dolomite lies most suitable for construction and cladding. We specifically draw your attention to this, since there is a similar stone in the market, with various names, handicraft and made from open surface layers.
We have been supplying products from dolomite Yamburg since 1999. There were no complaints.
