Granite is an igneous rock and therefore pure nature. We use the stone in our countertops, as it comes out of the ground. The region of origin gives the leaf special properties and deviations in color and structure naturally occur within a type of stone.
The structure of granite is more open than, for example, composite. This sometimes causes small hairline cracks or natural stains and visible pits in floodlighting. All this gives granite its own distinctive look.
Learn more about granite
– Granite is 100% natural. Therefore we cannot guarantee the composition, there can always be variation.
– Always use coasters. This is to prevent 'thermoshock': fractures caused by direct contact with hot or cold products.
– Do not allow the dishwasher to evaporate with the door open! This can affect the bonding.
– Always use a cutting board and never cut directly on the blade.
– Never stand or sit on the top, as although granite is a very hard material, pressure from above can cause breaks or tears.
– Maintenance of granite is easy. See our dedicated maintenance page for more information.
