Carriere Loegel Rothbach

Carrière de Rothbach was exploited in the last century by local stonemasons for construction needs of the region.
At the end of the last century and the beginning of it, a major activity lay in the manufacture of wheels for industry, among others for gun factories.
After the war career has not been exploited.
It was not until 1964 that Charles Loegel reopened this site by working with a small team.
The company "Carrière de Rothbach", created in 1975 and led Loegel children, currently has 25 employees.
The very good quality of red sandstone Rothbach by its quartz content (70%) and silica binder, weather resistance and pollution allowed its use for prestigious works such as the restoration of Strasbourg Cathedral.
The product range is very wide (see Products section) and all commands are made to measure.
