Blockstone is one of the UK’s leading dimensional stone quarrying companies, operating 8 quarries across the UK. Producing dimensional stone block for use in the UK and International Construction Industries, we can offer a wide selection of colours and textures to choose from in both limestone and sandstone.
Located within the Cadeby Quarry, Blockstone has created the unique ‘BlockStore‘ which holds large stocks for all of our stone types, ensuring a quick, reliable and high quality supply for projects both large or small. Our Quarry Teams work the quarries in turn to order or to replenish stocks at the BlockStore in our Cadeby Quarry near Doncaster where we will always maintain good stocks of all our stones.
The sheer scale of the BlockStore is astonishing. This facility is unique in the UK and holds a huge volume of both Limestone and Sandstone all extracted from our own quarries. Clients visiting the BlockStore can view a wide range of stone options all in one location.
Also within our Cadeby quarry, we have a very large permanent area where you will find a varied selection of stone cladding mock-ups from previous projects, as well as examples of standard Ashlar cladding for each of our stone types.
It is not uncommon for clients to be expected to select materials from small samples; NOT with Blockstone, clients have the benefit of full scale cladding displays and large slabs to assist in the selection process. Following this review, there is a short walk to the BlockStore where you are able to see, touch and select the actual block for your project.
Offering the largest portfolio of UK quarried dimensional stone available the BlockStore offers ease of selection and a one stop shop for any clients requirements whether it be traditional masonry facades or more contemporary rainscreen design.
