Company Description
A quick overview of our history, to make you understand who we are today and what we will be able to do tomorrow.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Gaudenzio Pelganta started working at the Beola quarry, convinced that the stone - known and used for centuries in the Ossola Valley - would have had a future.
They were hard years, times when every work was done by hand, and the effort was divided between family and friends, in mutual help and with a spirit of brotherhood.
The enterprise grew, and his son Giorgio came to direct it; we are in the 50s, after the war we want to start again and need to rebuild, and our stone is appreciated for its beauty and versatility. It is the same period in which technical innovations begin to alleviate the labors of the artisans, allowing, at the same time, to increase production.
Subsequently to Ezio who assumed the direction of the quarry in 1978, continuing its expansion, always guided by the love for tradition, dedication, the spirit of sacrifice and commercial foresight. And with particular regard to the environmental impact, reduced to a minimum thanks to the extraction and processing that still relies on the natural gap, resulting in significant energy savings, a look more to the natural resources to be preserved.
AND WE HAVE ARRIVED AT TODAY.
And today we still find the Pelganta family as a hundred years ago.
The son Giorgio is proud representatives of the fourth generation, always at the forefront of work, always linked to tradition and with a look to the future. And always with the same vision of the company and life: attachment to work and the values it transmits, love for nature that gives this wonderful material, deep respect for employees who contribute to success, entrepreneurial spirit aimed at future development.
The handicraft production is hard and long, but we do not want to abandon the old road and we continue with this type of work, for the respect of the environment that our ancestors have left us and where our children will grow. And despite the costs, we are able to maintain competitive prices, out of respect for our clients
