Having long term experiences in production industry, and considering recent increases in production and investment activities over Natural Stone Industry, Akdağ Group decided to make investments in Elazığ province in 2000 where richest natural stone reservoirs exists. Having 11 units of marble and travertine quarries with various color and pattern groups in Elazığ province and its neighboring provinces, Akdağ Marble A.Ş. was established in 2005 and started quarry activities and block production after evaluation of reservoir and feasibility studies regarding quarry sites. Located on an area of 17.000 m2 in Elazığ Organized Industrial zone and operating on 4.000 m2 closed area, the integrated facility produces plates and dimensional products through its advanced technology machineries and within framework of ISO 9001:2000 quality system. Akdağ Marble offers excellent solutions to its customers through continuous control and quality tests applied in every step of the production. Products of the company are submitted to the customers in packages produced from high quality and thermal processed lumber and in a manner that the product is protected against overall environmental effects. Being aware of environmental concept, Akdağ Marble minimizes damages given to environment via its waste treatment facility. One of its prioritized objectives of the company is to be one of the leaders of Turkish Marble Sector and introduce Turkey’s Natural Stone in all over the world.
