Company Description
Giger SA since 1974, Ignaz Giger is Specksteinofenbau active. The first kilns were built in the old soapstone workshop below Segnas - today is the workshop for the permanent exhibition oven used.
In 1996, the Giger family department of the soapstone Murer SA has taken over in Sedrun and to specialize in the furnace. A year later, the family built a new workshop in Sedrun, to optimize the production of soapstone. By enlarging the workshop and the purchase of a new computer-controlled CNC bridge saw in 2000 the capacity was increased enormously.
