Beige-brown Muschelkalk (shell limestone) from the Triassic period (Upper Muschelkalk) is extracted from the Burenbruch quarry near Winterhausen in the Würzburg district. It was used, for example, for the Bayerische Landesbank in Luxembourg and for the Beisheim Center in Berlin.
