Can Italy's Calacatta Bettogli Marble be used exterior applications in very dusty climates?
Calacatta Bettogli Marble is a high-quality marble that is widely used in interior applications such as countertops, flooring, and wall cladding. However, it is generally not recommended for exterior applications in very dusty climates or harsh weather conditions. Marble is a naturally soft and porous stone, which makes it more susceptible to damage and wear from outdoor elements. In dusty environments, dust particles can settle on the surface of the marble and could potentially cause scratching or staining over time. Additionally, extreme temperature fluctuations, moisture, and exposure to UV radiation can also negatively affect the appearance and durability of the marble when used in exterior applications. If you are specifically looking for a marble-like material that can withstand dusty climates, it would be better to consider alternatives such as porcelain tiles or engineered quartz surfaces that are specifically designed for outdoor use. These materials are more resistant to scratching, staining, and fading, making them better suited for exterior applications in dusty climates.
