Description:
German Greenstone is a dense, fine- grained calcareous limestone. The combination of lime, quartz grain and glauconite creates the unique green color of the stone which is contrasted by occasional gray and dark green fossilization.
The texture and the fossil inclusions give German Greenstone a distinctive quality hardly any other material can match.
Formed 120 million years ago from deposits on the bottom of the primeval sea German Greenstone has a quarrying history of 1.000 years.
The material covers a wide range of products from thin tiles to cubic work including all standard finishes plus the possibility to do a flamed surface.
