Our sandstone is fine to medium grain size and breaks easily when touched. Its color ranges from white-yellowish to brown-reddish depending on the oxide content and its uniformity and high quality for finished products and decoration sets it apart from the rest of sandstones.

It is classified within the group of Arkose-Feldespar sandstones, having a composition of 40-70% quartz, 10-30% feldspars and 10-20% mica and clayey matrix.

Surface oxidation gives the sandstone a brownish-golden shade which results in an impressive sight when the stone is bathed in dawn light.
