Moon Grey Limestone Honed Tiles & Slabs

Moon Grey is a natural limestone with a grey-blue colour, and mineralogical composition consists of Calcite - micrite 40% - Quartz 40 % - bioclasts 15% - sparite 5%. Because of its classification is called quartzitic calcite of detrital origin.

In a honed finish, it makes the stone flat, smooth and matt, without any spot or scretch, the colour is darker than other finishing except the polished one, and stand out the structure, colour and texture of the stone . This finish used to be applied when stone can not be polished, as limestone or sandstone with a low grade of crystallinity. The honed is the first step previous to the polished.This finish used to be applied in compact and hard stones by abrasion processing as the polished.
