Limestone has long been prized as a building material and its beautiful, understated nature can add an amazing touch to any construction project. Unfortunately though, like with most stones, limestone is both incredibly heavy and surprisingly fragile to work with. However, with Pacific Bedrock's spectacular lightweight limestone honeycomb panels, you can combine the special look of natural limestone with the superior strength, flexibility and durability of our unique aluminum or fiberglass honeycomb backing panel to get a panel that weighs a fraction of real stone and will last much longer.

If you won't settle for anything but that natural stone look, we have great news for you as our lightweight limestone honeycomb panels only use the finest in natural limestone. We hand select all of our stones for quality and beauty, which we then precisely cut into veneer between 3-5mm thick.

Our special aluminum backing panel makes use of a space age honeycomb technology to create one of the lightest weight and strongest materials known to man. Using a fiberglass or aluminum panel that's only 13 or 18mm thick, we make a structure that is incredibly light and flexible, which makes it easy to install and an ideal building material.

To form our lightweight limestone honeycomb panels, we take the honeycomb panel and first attach a fiber reinforced epoxy skin to both sides to make it entirely waterproof and resistant to rusting. We then use an astronautic grade epoxy resin to attach the limestone veneer to the honeycomb panel under high heat and pressure.

We also coat the entire panel with PVDF , a fluorocarbon polymer that protects the color of the stone and makes it resistant to discoloration, staining or fading. It also makes them resistant to corroding and able to last in any type of climate.

The panels have a total thickness of 20 or 25mm and are available in any size up to 4’x8’, as we design and cut each piece to order.
