Kutahya Red Travertine Quarry

Red travertine is produced from our quarry in Kütahya. Production in our quarry is carried out with the latest technology machines. Our products can be used in interior and exterior cladding, floor and wall coverings, and in all structures that require strength due to their solid and hard structure. Travertine carries the underground waters containing dissolved carbon dioxide under pressure by dissolving the calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in the regions they pass through. Calcium carbonate dissolved in the water precipitates on the rocks in very thin layers with the sudden release of water into the unpressurized environment and the volatilization of carbon dioxide. This accumulation creates travertines with soft lines like pillows over time.
