Description

Currently GRANIDERA has two quarries, the biggest one located in S. Lourenço do Douro, municipallity of Marco de Canaveses, and the other one located in the municipality of Castro Daire.

The Quarry of S. Lourenço do Douro, called “Mata do Escorregadouro”, is where the grey granite “Otelo” is extracted . In Castro Daire, the quarry “Soutela” offers a different variety of granites, namely, “Castro Daire”, grey colored, “Macheado Castro Daire”, with a mixed grey and yellow color, and “Amarelo Castro Daire”, yellow colored.
