Bentheimer Gold Sandstone, Gildehauser Sandstone, quartz stone, masonry, gravestone, countertops
Beige - Sandstone
The yellowish, partly white-gray sandstone from the Gildehaus district, which is somewhat softer but very resistant due to the high quartz content of 97%. This type was delivered to the Netherlands from around the 14th to the beginning of the 19th century primarily for churches and secular buildings with a lot of profiles and delicate parts and because of the color. The price also played a role.
