Raggi Cave s.r.l.

The company Raggi Cave s.r.l.  is born from the merger of two of the oldest artisan firms of Florence from 1919 escavano and work the stone of St. Bridget. The stonemason techniques have been handed down over decades for four generations and this allows us to offer today both mechanically processed products handmade products (chisel, a chisel, a hammer, a chisel, ashlar, flamed, etc.) In a range from simple ones (pavement, posts, steps, creased, etc.), to more elaborate (fireplaces, coats of arms, adorned with every kind, capitals, columns, fountains, flower pots, etc.).
The rock outcropping in the area of St. Brigida is part sandstone of Monte Senario and is a decorative stone of great value for aesthetic qualities, workability and sculptability that differs, for compositional, physical and mechanical and durability, from other types of stone inaccurately called Pietra Serena; the inactivity of the classic stone quarries of Maiano and Gonfolina makes it the only type of homogeneous rock that historically exists in the Florence area, used both for replacement and for new works realizations.
The quality of the Pietra di Santa Brigida stone and the quality of workmanship that delivers even traditional and elaborate ornamentation techniques have meant that stone artifacts of Santa Brigida have been and continue to be required for many of the main monuments restoration in Florence and Tuscany.
The Raggi Cave s.r.l.  from 2011 has incorporated the renowned company of floors and walls Vicano utilizzandone the showroom to make known to private and architects S.Brigida the characteristics of the stone and later in 2012 also the Emporium Building, shop and warehouse specializing in hardware and supply of building materials.
