The Marble House

Founded in July 1986 by renowned Architect, Stavros Katsifolis, The Marble House readily established its initial showroom in the central Melbourne suburb of Malvern. The showroom was one of its kind and soon became the focal point for both the domestic and commercial markets attracting architects, interior designers, builders, and the wider public who were provided with the opportunity to view one of the largest ranges of natural stone sourced across the globe and additional architectural design services.
To meet the demands of a rapidly changing industry, the company began to manufacture and install from 1986. Throughout this time, the Company sourced and imported the finest stone from abroad and was actively involved in high-end commercial and domestic manufacturing and installations, including benchtops and vanity tops for kitchens and bathrooms, laying/paving of internal and external walls and floors, including intricate and detailed designs for floor borders, fireplaces, furniture and decorative accessories. Examples of large scale commercial projects in which The Marble House contributed their expertise include fit outs for the Australian Stock Exchange on Collins Street, The Como Hotel in South Yarra, the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Prada at the Casino, and Monards stores in Collins Street and the Casino.
The Marble House has recently relocated to their new home which is located at 143 Christmas Street, Fairfield. The modern showroom and warehouse displays one of the most extensive ranges of natural stone currently available in Australia. We, The Marble House, believe that selection of stone cannot occur from samples only. For this reason, all our range can be viewed at our warehouse in full sheets to optimise client choice and facilitate the selection of stone that best represents you and your project.
