Tiffany Marble, Inc., located in Lee’s Summit, MO, was founded by George & Norma and son Dennis Whiting in 1976 to provide quality products to the homeowner and construction / remodeling trade.
Tiffany Marble, Inc. is a locally family owned business. The Whiting family has roots in the Lee’s Summit/Lone Jack area dating back to the 1800’s.
Having learned the process from training schools, fellow competitors and trial and error, Tiffany Marble, Inc. has evolved into a major player in the Kansas City area offering the largest selection of styles, colors and variety of products manufactured locally.
George Whiting helped to develop the process of creating cultured onyx in the late 1970’s to replicate natural Onyx mined in Mexico, a veined, translucent product that is a rich and luxurious texture.
In 1988, Gary & Julie Whiting took over at the retirement of father George and the untimely death of brother Dennis.
Gary comes from the restaurant industry, having worked and managed at Stephenson’s Apple Farm Restaurant, a world famous 5 star restaurant, for 10 years.
Gary has served on the board of directors for the Kansas City Better business Bureau, President of the International Cast Polymer Association, board of directors of the Mid America Cultured Marble Association among other associations.
