Hathout Company for Marble & Granite

The Hathout family has been engaged in the marble and granite business for more than 60 years and has gained experience in stone treatment over three generations. The company was established in 1943 by Youssef Hathout who was joined over the years by his sons Gabriel, Antoine, Elias, Ibrahim and Michel Hathout. Gabriel Hathout left the Damascene company to establish a second one in Tartous on the Syrian coast. Michel Hathout - the remaining one to work in the factory - eventually passed it on to his three sons Bachar, Youssef and George Hathout who represent the third generation of the family business. Our factory covers an area of 4000 m2 including different buildings for stone processing, reception for customers, and storage of stone blocks. Currently we are employing 25 workers for cutting, polishing, carving, delivering and installing the finished stone. Our products include floor paving, kitchens and bathrooms, fireplaces, house claddings, decorative works, stone carving for tombstones or company signs, sculpture, icons for churches, stone mosaics, etc. We also cut marble blocks into slabs for smaller companies who do not have cutting facilities. In addition to our own marble quarries outside Damascus from where we receive Syrian marble, we import marble blocks and granite slabs from all around the world to produce the above mentioned items. Our products are exported internationally, for example claddings and pavings for mansions in Dubai, mosaics to the United States, stone mosaic fountains to Jordan and Lebanon.
