Calizas Cucapa

"Calizas Cucapá" includes in their main professional activities the exploitation, use, and of among others the extract of calcium carbonate (marble) so we have the experience and economic capacity to develop the property projects, exploration projects, and benefit from the resources of hill "El Mayor" located in the province of Mexicali, Baja California México. 

The X-ray diffraction analysis made by our chemicals  indicates the presence of calcite as the main component and quartz as a secondary component in the three samples analyzed. The diffraction patterns are practically the same; the only thing that changes are the component proportions. Samples M01 and M02 show 98% calcite and 2% quartz; this is possibly due to the close proximity between the two samples. Sample M03 shows 93% calcite and 7% quartz. Hematite and other minerals observed in the petrographic microscope were not detected by this method in any of the samples since their abundance is less than 1%. While the beige coloration of sample M03 may be due to the higher hematite content, this does not change the purity.

In conclusion, the X-ray diffraction method and the petrographic analysis determine that the purity of these marble samples is between 93 and 98%. The rest are quartz crystals and traces of other components.
