WHO WE ARE:
Established in 1988, OM Exports is one of the largest exporters of Monument products from India. We are known for creating the most complex and exquisite Monuments and Memorials with our expertise in design and high level of manufacturing skills.

THE MANAGEMENT
The managing director, Mr. N. Ashoken, a dual postgraduate in management, has worked extensively with major European manufacturers of machine, tools and consumables in the field of natural stone for over three decades. He has also worked with some of the largest quarrying companies of the world. In the early 90s, Mr. Ashoken was one of the most sought after consultants for setting up granite processing units with all-German imported machines, and has set up numerous units pan-Asia. In the domestic market, he has rich and varied experience in quarrying, manufacturing, marketing and financial management in the arena of granite & marble calibrated tiles, monuments & memorials and rough block exports for over two decades.
His in-depth knowledge and experience in the Natural Stone industry, both Indian and international, is all-encompassing. His productive global tours and excellent rapport established with leading buyers across the world have earned him wide recognition. Mr. Ashoken’s vision, leadership and character have been instrumental in the success of OM Exports

LOCATION
OM Exports has the prodigious advantage of being located in a city of strategic business importance with an abundance of skilled labor as well as a culture and tradition of working with natural stone.
Spread over 8000 sq.m, the factory is located at Chennai’s most industrialized area at SIPCOT, Irungattukottai, amidst the country's best manufacturers. It is equidistant and in close proximity to both the Chennai container terminal as well as the city centre.
Chennai, in the late 90s was the epicentre for all natural stone related activity in India. It houses India’s most prestigious & pioneering granite processing companies, where the initiation and growth of Indian monument manufacturing started. The city’s affair with stonework dates back to 800AD and earlier as evident in the monolithic temples of Mahabalipuram, and the serene and divine gopurams of the Kapaleeshwarar Temple.
Today, Chennai is also one of the largest and fastest growing centres for automotive and IT sectors, employing millions of home-grown engineering graduates from prominent engineering institutions across Tamil Nadu.
FACILITIES

• A host of block sawing machines (2.7m/3m), mobile bridge saws (0.8m & 0.6m) and multi-cutter machines (1m) feed the polishing and finishing production lines.
• Automatic surface polishers and side polishers with pre-programmable sequential polishing and cam-driven swiveling head give us expert control over each detail.
• Contour millers and a profiling CNC machine centre from Germany add to increased production capability and efficiency.
• The production unit is also supported by bed polishers and imported hand tools from industry standard companies such as Bosch, Dremel, Konig and Hitachi.
• The facility has complete power back-up with a 250KVA diesel generator, and has access to a perennial supply of fresh water for the highest quality of polishing.
• A well planned layout with a structured network of handling equipment such as a gantry crane, EOT cranes and forklifts work to transport and transform rough granite into a work of art.

PRODUCTS
Our portfolio can be broadly classified into a focus on creating Monuments and Memorials on one side and building designer products for commercial and residential projects on the other.
As a manufacturer of Monuments and Memorials for 20 years, We specialize in manufacturing complicated and intricate products. Our core competencies involve producing products that require precision, big mausoleums, and various material finishes and treatments such as ripping, flaming, bush hammering, pitching and various brush finishes. We also use CNC profiling machines to bring in the precision needed.
As a production partner for designer projects, our expertise lies in transforming original thought and concepts into stone art, based on the clients' wishes. We have produced table tops, bar counters, telephone tables, center lobby pieces for several commercial and residential products. We also specialize in fusion products of granite, glass and steel with a combination of traditional Indian workmanship and our in-house manufacturing prowess.
