Mining Kraft Ltd. based in Krushevo, Bulgaria, has as main activity the mining and processing of gneiss materials. The company specializes mainly in the mining and processing of natural stone. Gneiss is formed by high-temperature and high-pressure metamorphic processes acting on formations composed of igneous or sedimentary rocks. The starting material is covered by many layers of rock. As a result, gneiss only comes to the surface when either the overlying material has eroded or previously deep layers have been lifted to the surface by tectonics. We have gneiss deposits in Krushevo in the mountain Rodopi which are acquired according to the Underground Natural Resources Act operating on the territory of Bulgaria. At the internal country level the Krushevo area is the largest producer of the total production of polygonal gneiss in Bulgaria. Our deposits cover an area of 239 decares and the biggest quarry for the gneiss rock known as Pirin Gold on the market.
