35 years ago, Walter Marazzi decided to channel his passion for marble into a new marble-cutting facility he set up in the province of Parma. Foredil was launched in 1974 as a specialist manufacturer of fireplaces, and soon went on to become one of the leaders in the Italian market. In 1991, Foredil used its experience in marble cutting to diversify into the manufacture of antiqued marble. Since then, the company has unveiled numerous successful collections of antiqued marble products. In the year 2000, the company transferred its operations to a facility in San Martino Sinzano (another part of the province of Parma). This move allowed the company not only to expand its levels of production through the use of more modern, efficient equipment, but also to respond even more accurately to market demand and the needs of its clients.
