Natural Stone Tiles

At Natural Stone Tiles® we specialize in the mining, processing, marketing and supply of quality Kenyan natural stone tiles also known locally as Galana, Maji-ya-chumvi and Mazeras slate. We supply both cut and uncut natural stone. Galana is a classic example of African sandstone found only in parts of East Africa. We are situated in the Msambweni area south of the city of Mombasa off the Indian Ocean in Kenya (see map). Our history dates far back when we started cutting stone tiles for trial in our cashew nut factory with one machine and two employees. Soon, we started getting requests from friends and before long we were supplying to as far as Nairobi, Kenya. As the demand for our products increased, we discovered that we needed more people, so we employed more people. Today we pride ourselves as a company with approximately 100 employees, drawn from a predominantly poor area with a high level of unemployment, which has greatly contributed towards improving the living standards of the local community. Natural stone tiles are in high demand throughout the world as they are durable and give a beautiful finish to homes, commercial buildings, churches, synagogues, hotels, lodges, driveways, entrance ways, pavements, swimming pools, aquariums, porches etc. Today we supply to as far as Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and the neighboring countries and we are looking forward to supply to the rest of Africa and beyond. Galana stones come in all shades of colours and sizes. They can either be cut according to your specification, or be used in their natural shapes straight from the quarry. The usual colors are brown, gold, gray, black, rustic mixes etc., but they can also be found in any combination of colours. Our products are of high quality and they have been used extensively in Kenya and within the Eastern Africa region.
