Founded in 2007 by Ashok “Ash” Appadurai, Ashtech is a professional supplier of stone countertops to multi-family developments, builders and single-family homes. The company began with a simple and innovative model: to bring granite directly to clients. Ashtech’s fabricators follow strict quality standards, and Ash himself interacts with clients directly, providing design support where required. Customers benefit from viewing granite in its full form — slabs instead of samples. Ashtech has supplied over one thousand kitchens, including high-end homes, spec homes, custom homes, builders, and many of the largest multifamily developers and builders in the Lower Mainland.
Ashok is a physicist by education with a wide technical background. In addition to his broad experience in several types of technologies, he has also played key roles in project management and customer service, ensuring the success of several startup companies and projects. He entered the stone industry by identifying gaps in granite production and availability. He found a way to bring clients directly to high-quality stone from reliable fabricators.
