The name” Alabaster" is certainly Egyptian and has probably been taken from the city of Alabasteron, popular for its vases, candles, lamp, and amphorae made as perfume containers.
Alabaster comes in two varieties: the oriental alabaster (calcium carbonate) and chalky alabaster (hydrated calcium sulphate).
A soft white stone, alabaster is more easily carved than marble and is very popular choice for intricate interior decoration and classical sculpture work as home office furniture.
Alabaster light provides the warmth and beauty of an alabaster glow, each piece finishes hand-made on individual pieces.
Cleaning instruction: Wash with lukewarm water and a soft, non-abrasive sponge do not use detergents or chemicals as they may cause discoloration.
