Recently has been installed in Macaubas a new innovative Italian machine that works with diamond wires and this permit to use blocks of different shapes and dimensions to produce slabs. The versatility of this machine make possible to cut slabs of different thickness.
Another product are the strips cut from the same block and numbered for future assemblage. The strips can be cut with a width up to 30cm and a free length. The strips can be cut into tiles with a minimum size of 1x1cm. The surface can be polished, brushed or treated as requested by the client.
Monuments, tables, objects for the home and the garden are easily made from the smaller blocks. Only the fantasy sets the limit. Columns and curved shapes are produced with the help of an Italian machine which is one of the most advanced on the market. Curving Azul Macaubas brings out all the qualities and the beauty of the stone.
With the help of a governmental educational program Macaubas Pedras Ornamentais has been able to train a group of local artisans to work the stone and to create a huge range of handmade decorative objects.
