Balusters can be made with endless profile options. To ensure that each baluster accurately matches the original, CAD is used on a CNC machine / lathe, this turns the stone blanks into exact replicas. A process that is repeated for bespoke batch or complete runs.
Typically a shellier stone is used for its added character and weathering properties, which is also favoured by many landscape architects that we continuously work with.
A recent private residence project used both turned balusters with capping or handrail. Adding a protective weathering element and visual finish to a grand garden-viewing platform.
Bases for the balusters were also manufactured and can be made to meet any specification.
Used as a method of signalling the start, mid or stopping point of a continuous run of balusters, pier caps are an aesthetic addition. Options are again endless with plain, moulded and weathered stones.
Extras such as spheres or finials are further alternatives that add a real embellishment to the stone design.
