Rouge du Roi/Rouge Griotte
Description: The rich red coloring and round nodular texture of Rouge Du Roi marble are more than a little reminiscent of a bowl of cherries. Some nodules in Rouge Du Roi show relics of the shells of goniatites, mollusks related to ammonites. If they are part-filled with white calcite, the nodules seem to have white "eyes".
