The Marble Operation Industry was established in the area of Zoodohos of Ioannina in 1970 by the members of the Nikou family and remains a family afair to these days.
It has a monthly capacity of more than 10.000 m2 of marble. Its products come privetly owned operated areas in Ioannina and is the only supplier of Demati marbles.
The company has to supply the quantities of marble needed for the completion of a large number of construction projects including the Thessaloniki Airport, the pavement of Kefalonia, Corfu, Preveza and Lefkada, the Trieste square, the Harbour Office and the Museum in the stables of Miramare Castle in Trieste, the Venice hospital, the new department of the Cemetery in Lindo - Venice, the Chiesa "Don Bosco Al Colle", the Duomo Palace "Moglie Antonegliana" of Torino and the Piazzale Kennedy's fountain in Rimini.
