Inovopedra was founded in 1999 by Regina Vitorio and Pedro Vaz?o, both with a large know how of the stone bussiness. Inovopedra started its activities with a small factory with roughly 200 m2 and focussed on the local market. In 2001 it increases its facilities up to 650 m2, increasing also its market to the national level. In 2003, Inovopedra increases its production and administration structure to 1000 m2, which allows the expansion and development of its business to the international market, initially on the Iberian Peninsula and later on the European market. At this time, Inovopedra started to focus its attention on quality differentiation, and in 2004 begins the ISO 9001:2000
certification, also in 2004 Inovopedra is awarded with the Natural Stone Awards 2004. During 2005, it purchases a 30 000 m2 land, increasing its production area to 6000 m2, equipped with the latest technology. In 2006, implements the ISO 14001 certification, showing concerns with the environment. In 2008, taking into consideration its international perspective and globalization, Inovopedra creates its own brand called LSI stone.
Currently, Inovopedra commercializes its products in basically all continents, with exports accounting for about 95% of its total volume of business. We are proud to say that Inovopedra is a modern and well equipped company, perfectly adapted to the XXI century demands.
