Sandstones rich in iron deposits are red to brown in colour. A high lime content gives them an earthy to light pink colour. High quantities of Silica and Carbon impart whiteness and darkness respectively. Limestone is a fine grained 'Sedimentary' stone and comes in two distinct colours -- greenish blue (Kanchan Blue) and warm Brown (Kanchan Brown).
Sizes
Sandstones and Limestones are typically available in sizes ranging from 300mm X 300 mm to 600mm X 400mm with thicknesses ranging from 10mm - 40mm. In few sandstones, sizes as large as 1800 X 600 and thicknesses larger than 40mm can also be made available.
