CEMETERY MEMORIALS, GRAVESTONES AND HEADSTONES
Local Authority Cemeteries and Burial Grounds allow much more variety in the stone type, sizes, designs and finishes than Churchyards do. However, they still have regulations and these are strictly adhered to.
Whilst kerb surrounds are acceptable within certain areas, other 'lawn' areas allow for a headstone and base only whilst polished granites are widely accepted in all colours, with gold, silver and leaded letters commonly used.
A permit is required before any memorial can be fixed in place and this will need to be signed by the person registered as the grave owner with the Cemetery and the relevant fee paid before any work can take place. We will make this application on your behalf with the fees payable added to our invoice.
Our extensive knowledge in dealing with Cemeteries throughout the region enables us to advise on current regulations and ensure that your choice of memorial meets these.
