From our company's own quarries in Sant'Adrea di Conza and Pescopagano in Serro della Serpa (Avellino Province - Southern Italy) with over 400,000 cubic meter production capacity, we extract a very solid and multi-colored natural stone mainly composed by mineral elements, called "Brecciato Irpino" or "Breccia Irpina"; this stone is extremely suitable for construction and decoration purposes.
Breccia Irpina is a granulated pebbly blend of small and big grain hard calcite stone, composed of sedimentary rocks and originated from carbonate elements; smaller grains means higher value. Depending on the different grain sizes and on the different places of origin, the name of this stone may vary: "Favaccio" or "Favaccia", "Favaccino", "Brecciato", "Pietra di Fontanarosa", "Pietra di Gesualdo", exc.
Breccia Irpina surface can be finished in many different ways: bush hammered, chiseled, antique, brushed, honed, sandblasted and tumbled. When used for interior flooring, it is usually polished on-site.
