The Olivine Basalt from Terceira Island, it’s a gray color rock, with a compact and homogeneous texture.

This basalt is mostly non-porous, although it may occasionally have some porosity.

In some cases are visible small olivine phenocrystals particularly in softened or polished stones.

Small traces of pores (max. 2 mm) and sawdust brands are natural in the sawn finished.
