Our company, named CUPIRE, was created in 1968 by 5 slate producers who were seeking to modernize the slate industry and meet the international demand for Spanish slate.
Once the strategy, the quality of the offer and the company motto were defined, CUPA achieved a strong presence in the market. At that moment in time, CUPA was exporting slate produced by the owners/partners.
As a result of its success, CUPA decided to invest further in the slate business.
Nowadays, CUPA is comprised of 54 companies with 2000 employees, branches in 11 countries, and exports to the 5 continents, with a strong commitment towards providing the best quality raw material, efficient management and innovation in products and services.
