The color of Andesite is formed based on the strength of each mineral that comes out of a volcanic eruption. That is why color variation will differ from a very light gray to a very dark gray commonly known as black andesite. This depends on how the formation cools after it has been extracted as lava. The grayer andesites are usually filled with more iron and feldspar.
Because of the way it was made, andesite has a unique fine grain that becomes a great addition to structures including water features indoors and in gardens.
