Product Description

Slate/Culture Stone/Gneiss is type of metamorphic rock widespread and formed by volcanic and sedimentary rocks. It has smooth structure which is characterized by the alternating dark and light colored bands, which were formed due to extreme temperatures, high pressure and metamorphic differentiation, where under the influence of chemical reactions different materials are separate in different layers. The darker bands of slate contain comparatively more magnesium and iron, and the lighter bands are with relatively brighter elements such as silicon, oxygen, aluminum, sodium and potassium.
Slate is very suitable for landscape design, tiling and flooring, and decorative purposes, because is extremely hard and resistant to external influences, and for its rich touch of colors.
