Product Description
Thin Slate is a revolutionary new product produced by splitting the raw material from slate and quartzite quarries around the world into very thin layers of stone. This thin layer is bonded to a fiberglass backing, producing a strong, yet flexible, piece of stone unlike anything ever seen before.
Our real natural slate is between 1-3mm thick and laminated on top of a fiberglass/polyester layer. It is ultra light-weight of less than 0.5lbs. per square foot and provides easy material handling and transport. It is available in a peel and stick format for quick and easy installation and its flexible nature allows installation on radius applications. Because of its reduced weight, it greatly increases possible applications and reduces the weight of buildings. Also, our thin slate is more environmentally friendly than typical stone tiles do to lower transportation costs and less waste. Finally, it is easy to handle with do-it-yourself tools and is frost stable and usable for facades.

Thin slate can be used both indoors and out and partial translucent and Class A fire rating backings are available on special order. Suitable for ceilings, walls, and floors. Thin slate can be directly applied to aluminum, concrete, cement, gypsum, MDF/HDF, ceramic, dry wall, and many other surfaces and is available in most slate and quartzite colors including Autumn, Autumn Rustic, Black, California Gold, Copper, Golden, Gold Green, Jeera Green, Multi-Color, Multi-Pink, Ocean Green, Terra Red, and Silver Shine.
