Nephrite is a variety of the calcium and magnesium-rich amphibole mineral Actinolite ( Ca2(Mg, Fe)5Si8O22(OH)2). It is one of two different mineral species called jade. The other mineral species known as jade is Jadeite, which is a variety of pyroxene. The jade reserve is 80 acres ( 32 Hectares ). Sixteen (16) scattered test core holes have been drilled into the parcel to a depth of 60 feet ( 18.3 Meters ). None of the core samples reached the bottom of the Jade deposit !
Priority will be given for extracting large blocks. For transportation purposes, blocks must be less than 21.5 MT. Height and width cannot exceed 2.4 Meters while length cannot exceed 5.8 Meters, to allow for loading into ocean containers. There are various sizes of raw boulders at the quarry. Order quantity will be full containers. Nephrite Jade has a Specific Gravity 2.95 (+.15, -.05). Based upon SG of 2.95, Nephrite weighs 2950 Kg/M3
