Stone:
The surround is shown produced in Creeton Silver Bed which has also been given an "aged effect" which enhances the character of the style. However, it can also be ordered in a choice of the following local English Limestones – with or without the aged effect.

The hearth can be supplied in the same limestone as the surround or in York Sandstone - a harder stone than limestone and better suited to those situations where solid fuels are to be regularly used, when higher temperatures will be created. The York Stone is also better suited when a plinth is required on which the kitchen range stands
