The following are qualities of the material, fabrication, and installation of natural stone that must be understood by the homeowner:

- All natural stone is a species of natural material; coloration, veining, and texture (i.e. pits, fissures, fragmentation) of the installed material will vary from samples and are a part of the finished product.
- Natural stone thickness may vary up to a quarter inch from slab to slab, even within the same species of stone.
- Natural stone countertops usually require seams. The location and number of seams is a function of manufacturing and installation, slab size has no relationship to seam placement. Seam placement is at the sole discretion of Classic Rock, LLC.
- Due to the nature of the material, we recommend that overhangs greater than 8” must have corbels installed. Unsupported overhangs or spans risk cracking and even breaking if heavy weight or forces are applied to them. Classic Rock will not be responsible for cracking or breakage that occurs after installation due to the application of heavy weight or force over unsupported overhangs or spans of countertops.
- Natural stone countertops are sealed at the time of installation in order to help reduce the natural porosity of the stone. Countertops will still be susceptible to staining. Classic Rock will not be responsible for any stains that may occur in natural stone countertops. Simple maintenance using stone cleaners along with a stone sealer should greatly reduce the potential for staining.
