Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed of small grains cemented by siliceous, felspathic, or calcareous cementing material. It is the most popular stone for garden paving. Warm and impressive the coarser grain of sandstone lends itself perfectly to outside application. Though it is tough for any paving application yet it is easier to cut and work than granite. It is aesthetically pleasing, heat reflective and durable. Its thickness and non slip texture means that swimming pool, paving and patios, are all areas where sandstone creates an interesting decorating environment. Indian sandstone is extremely versatile. It can be sawn, honed, polished, sandblasted, and brushed for use in flooring and walling. Sandstone is available in many shapes and colors, and is also easily available in large quantities. The most commonly used shade are rippon, golden brown, raj green, autumn brown, fossil mint and modak. They are ideal for creating winding paths.
