Pietra di Luserna is quarried from Alpi Cozie, in the north-western Italy. It is a me- tamorphic stone, belonging to the group of Gneiss. Its uniform and compact pattern, which characterises metamorphic and sedi- mentary stones, and its granite-like technical features make it a unique stone worldwide.
