Cotswold Limestone, Ashlar Stone Masonry, landscaping stones
The natural limestone used in many of our products are quarried from our own Oxleaze Quarry and Grange Hill Quarry. The blocks of stone are extracted from huge quarry beds by large cutting machinery, which are then transported to the mill where they are cut by water-cooled saws. Within each quarry the stone varies in colour according to the seam, with colours ranging from a pale grey to a lower buff tone. Machined to give a honed or polished finish to the surface – the stone is cut into various size formats with further specialist finishing methods employed to produce a variety of ‘antiqued’ surfaces and edges.
