Its twisting white veins are emphasised on the black background of the marble, setting it out from other marbles of the same colour. Nature has provided it with random thicknesses and number of veins and there are no two pieces the same.

It is easy to see Negro Marquina in combination with other natural stones of different colours, especially with white marble. Architects and decorators usually employ the black and white combination to create ambiences with minimalist or modern atmospheres.

The use of marble extends mainly to pavings and interior claddings, as well as worktops.
