INFORMATION
Cubic stone has been used since ancient times, being among the first forms of natural stone processing. In the past, cubic stone was produced exclusively by hand, each piece being taken in the hand of a carpenter, broken into smaller pieces and hammering to the required "cube", or, at least, had a "fitting face". Nowadays, in our natural stone factory, we still use this method partially, although on a smaller scale, and more like a final finish. This does not mean, however, that on request we can not execute orders just manually for a "vintage" look.
The current production process involves the cutting of strips of the desired width (eg 10 cm in the case of cubic stones of 10 * 10 * 10 cm), after which these strips break into pieces of the desired size in the hydraulic cube at least 30 tons of force, resulting in the final product. If, for various reasons, the stone does not break out perfectly and has no "cubic" and "mounting" aspect, it is the technique of "the stone age" (that is why we call ourselves Stoneage) ", that is take the hammer and manually crumble the cubic stone to perfection.
As materials from which cubic stone can be made, andesite is the first one, followed by basalt and granite. For design and new contrast we produce cubic stone and limestone Vratza. The basic rule is, the harder and the worse the rock, the better it will "break" and the "stone cube" will come out more regularly and nicer. However, it should be borne in mind that in the cubic stone production process, the "breaking" of the stone can not be precisely controlled, therefore the dimensions may vary by ± 1 cm from the standard, without this being a defect.
Since the cubic stone we mainly produce from volcanic, magmatic rocks, which basically do not have water absorption, the cubic stone's resistance in time is theoretically unlimited. Not few were the cases when, for the rehabilitation of some streets or even national roads, the cubic stone was removed for over a hundred years or more in perfect condition.
