Established in 1899 by 18-year-old Dutch immigrant Abram Van Etten, Galloy & Van Etten is a family owned stone company proud to be woven into Chicago's history for the last 113 years. We played a pivotal part in rebuilding Chicago after the devastating fire using an ageless, durable and fireproof material known as Indiana Limestone. Passed down from generation to generation, Galloy & Van Etten is still owned and operated by the same family that started it over a century ago. Currently, five Van Ettens are actively involved in every aspect of the business, keeping alive the tradition of excellent craftsmanship and remarkable service that Abram created.

Throughout the years, we have added new technology to the artistry of traditional stone cutting techniques bringing amazing attention to detail and passion to every stone we cut and every job we tackle.
