Opus The work. Weaves showing the knowledge of the paste
Opus is a Latin word for work.
In architecture it indicates the technique of using mosaic as a floor covering. Depending on the size of the tiles, on the technique used for their assembly and on where they are laid, the ancients bestowed a variety of names to the various mosaics, naming them opus sectile,
tesselatum, vermiculatum, spicatum, etc.
An infinite number of designs, patterns and shapes remind us that the ancient knowledge of the "weavers" is still in use today. In this section you will find details of our various layout solutions.
